Time To Go Dot Org On Folks

I finally was able to make contact with a few people about Juneteenth 2008 and what happened this year so far. My final say was this on the matter and what it means to me in terms of what I was able to learn from this experience.
We need to consider not having Juneteenth in Camden this year and work diligently to have our non profit status for next year.
The biggest reason is that we need to be able to have the financial backing necessary to have a proper event to raise money for our scholarships and for other things in the community that we do. We cannot keep doing it without that.
We have also learned that people are not motivated unless you provide them with an incentive called money.
Suze Orman said it best there is no reason to volunteer when you need to be getting paid for your expertise.
And quite frankly we are getting what we pay for by not having a paid staff.
I know I can hear the groans but here is the truth people are not motivated these days without money and if I have the financial resources available to me to pay you then I know the work will get done.
Thats what we want.
